Yes

Good food, top notch service! Today, I ordered a disaster breakfast burrito. It wasn't the best breakfast burrito in town, but it is huge. The service at Hurricanes is absolutely amazing and the wait staff kept our drinks full.
My husband and I had breakfast. Probably the best breakfast in 15 yrs. of dining in Albuquerque and by far the best bang for your buck. We are only sorry we hadn't found it sooner. And wow great coffee to boot.
They have good food and they are friendly
My wife and I usually go to Hurricanes for their fantastic breakfasts, but today we had urgent auto activities in the Lomas car repair area, so we stopped by for brunch / lunch – as usual, the food was simply delicious and outstanding! I ordered the Burrito Platter – owner Frank suggested with Carne Asada – and it was absolutely mouth-watering fantastic! My wife ordered the Burrito Supreme with ham and vegetables instead of potatoes (a low-cal diet), and she devoured it more quickly than usual (well, just my observation!). Service was super quick, prices were very good for such large portions, and the old-style diner ambience was quite evocative of The Ol’Days. Definitely highly recommended, especially if you’re on a budget.
Delicious, affordable and tasty food! You can park in a shaded area, eat inside or outside. The interior is air-conditioned. Good bathrooms. Friendly service. Make sure to try their limeade!
Love this place really good food great service said to see that 2 of the best employees are gone Frank and his brother will be missed
Good food, excellent service, and very affordable
Great little diner.the food was great and we got it fast after ordering. The service was great the wait staff was friendly. Will definitely make this one of my go to spots. recommend highly.
Went from a 5 to 4 reason being, inconsistency. I was so in love with the food brought my family, not so good that day. Great food I've eaten at a restaurant! All home made!!! (if it's not they fooled me.) Best food representing New Mexico. I spent the same as a fast food place, needless to say prices are a steal. Wait staff was friendly, we even caught that when they were resting they were smiling.
Hurricanes has always been my breakfast kitchen. Great food, great people, great service!! Cannot beat this. I go every time I get back to Albuquerque.
The disaster burrito is great for a family on a budget... delicious and filling.
An old style cafe that has great food. I prefer the lunch wait staff to the dinner wait staff. Make sure to look up the hours they are open because they aren't open in the evenings all the time. The place can seem a bit dirty but it's not, it's just old. All of the food I've had here I've loved and I've never been disappointed. Do not compare this to Twister's, this is much better in my opinion.
Food 5 stars, service 5 stars could use a little fixing up. I'm a diabetic but on the one day when I'm not this is where we go. Thanks Frank was great see you again.
Best veggie burrito in the world.
Good food, good service.
The restaurant is a little run down. However this is easy to overlook, when the food and service are very good. This is a neighborhood eatery with a loyal following.
The menu for this old, historic little diner devoted to old historic cars ( pictiresbon the walls is quite extensive. Hamburgers, new Mexicsn dishes including breakfast, salads and a variety of sandwiches await you just a couple blocks from old Route 66. The service was prompt and friendly. They have blue plate specials as well. You can also eat in your car if you want like you did cruising in the fifties and sixties. Enjoy!
Great little place. The club was delicious and great onion rings.
The waitresses were very nice and food was good , but it didn't have much seasoning
Been coming here since high school best place for food, chile, and friendly service
Hurricane's has been a staple for New Mexican food in our house for twenty five years. The burritos are HUMONGOUS and delicious.
The great thing about this place is that is has not changed one bit in over 20 years. Even some of the staff have been here that long.Everytime I order it is the same as it always has been. Always consistent, and ALWAYS DELICIOUS. I got a pretty big breakfast burrito full of hashbrowns, beans, eggs and bacon. Smothered with green Chile and cheese. All for $5.99.The fried zucchini with house made ranch is my favorite thing to get here. You can order from your car, sit at a table outside, or sit in this totally cool, retro restaurant. Service and food have always been great, and I will come back as long as it stays that way.
This cute little place not far from the college is great for those chili fixing breakfasts . big enough to share or keep some for dinner
Hurricane's is a great diner style restaurant that has been around for a long time! They have lots of good food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner but their specialties are their HUGE disaster burritos. They have breakfast and lunch versions, check out the pictures, and you can order smaller versions as well if your not up to eating the ridiculous quantity of food in a whole burrito.
It wasnt that fast but it was worth the wait .
This place was Frank’s in the 1950’s... Hurricanes has kept the decor and the drive-in part... but I went on to enjoy the atmosphere. Super friendly staff, although I really didn’t give them a whole lot of time to be too friendly as I was in and out in about 15 minutes! The food was great! And the price? Well they could double their prices and people would still visit their establishment. My huge breakfast burrito smothered in green Chile with a Dr. Pepper as my morning coffee was $6. What? I’ll definitely be back here!
Adorable diner with good food and friendly, fast service. The chocolate malt took me right back to my childhood. Highly recommended. #shoplocal
Old school cafe but very accommodating to vegans.
Great little restaurant in the middle of Albuquerque. Staff has always been very helpful and friendly. I love to get the original disaster burrito, except I exchange the French fries for hash browns and always pick the red. And my daughter loves the children's chicken basket. My wife enjoys the zucchini sticks with the house made ranch dressing. Overall great little spot in town.
It had a very 1950s drive in feel. The portions were large and the malted was excellent. It is dinner type food with a few New Mexico twists like smothered burrito and green chili stew. It is a little more expensive than similar places, but it is historic.
I went to eat there today, and the drive up, where you order are very messed up practically falling off their stands, this place needs some serious remodeling, after me and my 6 year old daughter ate, she needed the restroom, and the owner didn't let her use it, she had an accident and couldnt hold it in, he was very rude about it saying it is closed, but we were paying customers, I dont recommend this place, the food was awful and not fresh, the owner was running around outside like a mad man, not even friendly, this place is a joke!!
Delicious food. Great diner with classic rt 66 feel.
Still delicious as it was 14 years ago. The whole disaster is the same and feeds the whole family. Best breakfast in all of Abq
Really nice place, homie and warm. It's a nice place for two people or small family.
The food is amazing here. First time going today for breakfast and got that disaster burrito and it definitely lives up to it's name! Highly recommend this dish, but beware it's a doozy! Huge portion for 11.99 and the description is right, good luck indeed to those who eat it, you won't finish it alone. The malts are great and their fries are big too for a good price! Very friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, drive in options along with outside dining, just an awesome experience all around to get. I definitely will be coming back here again, 10/10 great place.
Love this little cozy place, friendly and clean great food, big portions for your buck, very helpful and service is always on top of thier game. Breakfast 1/2 disaster burrito with carne adovada, tater gems, oe eggs on top n xmas baby coffee and tea best brunch I've had in a while...
They are always fast and friendly, and a treasure to our city.
Great retro restaurant from the 50s, great service, the food is good. If you want to experience the local atmosphere this is the place. The green chili is good enough to just poor into my mouth by itself.
Awesome retro atmosphere, great prices, yummy food and friendly service!
Good Breakfast nice people!
Good food and service. Place has been around for decades
The disaster burrito is Delicious Great place to get curly fries. Carne adovada is great. Service is fantastic. Love this place.
Delicious food good hospitality
Good food here! I like the nostalgic look and feel of the restaurant. Our server, Jim, served us well.
Did the drive in order. Delicious food as usual. A covid 19 option to keep an Albuquerque tradition going.
Big burrito, great coffee, tasty chilli. Good prices.
Great place awesome hot chili. Also it's so nostalgic eating here I remember the old Frank's sign with the pink neon elephant out front. Now its hurricanes love it!!
